It's almost May. In Indianapolis, it is time to go to the track. I will be there Saturday, sketching dogs for donations to the Humane Society. It is a great day to spend with dogs of all kinds, but sadly mine stay home.
My brother Brad (also in the photograph with yours truly) has this painting. I was looking through old images and missing spending time in the studio.
In just a week or so, I will be finished teaching for the summer and I will have completed all of my own coursework for my MLS. I need to plan today for painting then, so that my exhaustion and change of circumstance will not leave me unable to move. It could happen.
Dogs to walk, paintings to paint, plans to make. I will take a short camping and hiking trip with the dogs so that I can introduce them to backpacks and determine how they will fit in my tent. I need to leave the phone and computer (and the cats) at home and sleep on the ground before the bugs get too unbearable.
Today I had a small and secret surprise that made my day. It was like a cool breeze on a hot and humid afternoon.
